Porsche 918 Spyder, 918 units sold in two months?

The Porsche 918 Spyder is this plug-in hybrid Supercar revealed by Porsche at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show where it received great critical acclaim.

With the announcement of the final price and the opening of the reservations mid May, according to GTSpirit who got the information from a Dutch dealer, all the units of this green supercar are sold, even at € 645,000 ($ 845,000 in the U.S.).

This plug-in hybrid sports car receives a 500hp V8 fitted with a double clutch gearbox (PDK).
Two electric motors provide the extra power of 218hp (718hp in total).

The maximum speed is 320kph and 0 to 100kph takes 3.2 seconds, for announced consumption and emission figures of only 70g/km and 3l/100km!

The 918 Spyder is one of the four available models of Porsche’s Intelligent Performance range:

Two very promising prototypes will soon join the range, the electric Boxster (Boxster E) and the 918RSR

Amateurs (wealthy) of hybrid supercars may therefore "comfort" themself with the Jaguar C-X75 whose official launch and price was announced last week
