(VIDEO) Top Gear tests electric cars (S17E6) the Nissan Leaf and Peugeot Ion

In the segments 3 and 4 of the episode broadcasted yesterday (last one of the season) Jeremy Clarkson and James May take the Nissan Leaf and Peugeot Ion for a tour.
We presented you sneak peeks of this episode on May 13th but here is the full episode, the two friends decide to take their vehicles to the seaside… 

And find themselves in Lincoln without a charging station throughout the county and end up having to negotiate with shops before finally finding a charging point and having long hours to kill. 

In addition to the silence and quietness on board the hosts of Top Gear emphasize the high cost of these vehicles, Jeremy noting that the Leaf is a better value for money with better equipment, more space and less expensive ... 

They note however that these vehicles designed especially for electric propulsion have real trunks and that despite limited performance direct acceleration at the first second makes you forget the lack of total power. 

Finally they admit they are dinosaurs to prefer powerful ICE engines but also that the solution of all electric vehicles powered by batteries is not the future from their point of view and behind the wheel of bumper cars highlight the benefits that pantograph systems could provide on the highway with this type of propulsion ...
