(VIDEO) Schlumpf develops a two-speed fixed gear crankset

The first brand to use this system called Speed Drive is Bedovelo with their twin fix.
Driven by a Gates Polychain T14 belt, for a minimum maintenance and a maximum reliability, this technology offers two speeds, a fast one for the city and one for hills, the gear change is operated by giving a quick on the crankset, a button placed in its center allows to move from a gearing to another without stopping.
But I'll leave the explanation and demonstration to a member of Bedovelo’s team.
The model presented is the Factory One, with a handmade frame built in Bern Switzerland, it is priced at € 2300.
